Information used by the conversion service
When you request a compatibility check, the Windows assistant reads USB identifiers and descriptors, controller address, serial number if available, Windows device instance and driver information, and backup identifiers/checksums. The service uses these to identify your dongle, select a supported conversion recipe, associate payment with that dongle, verify results, and support recovery. A hardware fingerprint is pseudonymous, not anonymous.
The cloud stores inspection reports, fingerprints, compatibility decisions, conversion and recovery records, and payment-provider order/status identifiers. Original-driver backups are created on your PC for download and recovery; the cloud receives their metadata and checksums. The conversion protocol does not request your music, microphone recordings, Bluetooth pairing keys, passwords, or full payment-card details. Information you email support is also processed to answer your request.
Service providers
Cloudflare hosts the website, API and database and processes network information needed to deliver and protect the service. When an unknown USB pattern requires analysis, structural device information is sent to the configured analysis provider, currently DeepSeek; model prompts use structural descriptors rather than the dongle address or serial number. Payment details you enter are processed by the payment provider shown at checkout. Available providers can change; their own privacy notices apply. We do not sell personal information.
Storage and choices
Browser storage keeps language, theme and conversion-session state. Session tokens and request identifiers support retry and recovery. Server records are kept as needed to recognize paid dongles, provide reconversion/recovery, prevent fraud and meet applicable recordkeeping duties; no automatic deletion schedule is currently promised. You can request access, correction or deletion through the contact above. Deleting device/payment records may prevent automatic recognition of previous payments; records required by law may be retained. Providers may process information outside your country. Contact us to ask about applicable access or deletion rights before providing optional information.
